With the MCC Tour of Australia nearing an end, thoughts turn to a slightly lower plane - The Evening
Cricket League - and the possible performance of the Bank team. With some of the older members of the team thinking of gradual retirement
it is imperative that we get some new members. With this in view, any member of the Staff who would like a game of cricket (all the
matches are played in the evening at the Municipal Sports Ground, Yardley) will be welcomed at the Annual General Meeting of the Club
which will be held in April. The date will be notified in due course.

CONTACT: Summer 1966
The Cricket
Club has had a good opening to the season, winning two games, losing one and having one rained off.
The first game that was won
was against the Estates. This match was almost a 'one man affair' with skipper Les Bellmore scoring 48 out of 71 and then taking 8
wickets! The second win was more of a team effort, but very nerve-racking, when the Bank went to the last over to win. MEB Accounts
needed 6 runs off the last over; that they did not get them was due to the keen fielding of the team and the praiseworthy efforts
of the bowler, Alf Young.
It is with great pleasure that the club has welcomed more new members this season, namely David Archer,
Peter Ratcliffe and Philip Willetts, not forgetting the first full season of Malcolm Taylor.
Given fine weather the team can
look forward to a good season, and a cordial invitation is extended to all members of the Staff to attend the matches and support
the Club.
