Finance & General Purposes Sub-Committee: December 17th 1934

Building at Brookvale.

Your Committee will recollect that the tenders recently received for the building at Brookvale exceeded the original estimate of the Architect, (Mr Surman) who subsequently revised his plans with a view to reducing the cost of the buildings. Fresh bills of quantities were prepared and sent out to the contractors who had formerly tendered for the work, and they were invited to send in fresh tenders by Friday, the 21st 14th instant. Arrangements have been made for the tenders received to be opened and considered by the Chairman and the Chairman of your Sub-Committee  before the meeting on Monday, when a recommendation in the matter will be submitted to your Committee.
