Since its inception the Motoring Club has progressed most satisfactorily. However, not all the members
are taking advantage of the Insurance Scheme which is designed to help the car/motor cycle or scooter owner to pay for any minor damage
to his/her vehicle without claiming on his/her own insurance policy and thereby losing the no-claim bonus.
The Ordinary membership
entitles members to discount on various motor accessories.
Further details of both schemes can be obtained from the following

It is hoped that the Club will be able to
arrange tours of car factories, a treasure hunt and lectures on car maintenance.

CONTACT: Summer 1964
The newly formed Motor Club
is organising the Treasure Hunt this year. The date has now been fixed for Saturday, 17th July. As many members as possible are asked
to join them on this pleasant and exciting afternoon out. An early finish will be arranged in order that family men may also take
part and bring the kids along.

The Motoring Club's first year of operations is drawing to a close:
it is hoped that Club Members have derived some benefit from their membership.
The Treasure Hunt was well supported and enjoyed
by the participants, although the finish was marred by a thunderstorm that seemed to last for hours.
At the moment four claims
have been received against the insurance fund, and payment in whole or part, depending on the decision of the Committee, will be made
in due course.
It is hoped that during the winter season a film show and lectures on maintenance and driving will be arranged.
The
date of the Annual General Meeting will be arranged in the near future.

Commencing
its second year of existence the Motoring Club is continuing to increase its membership, both Ordinary and Insurance Fund.
The
discount scheme is still operating satisfactorily and members are assured of prompt attention when making purchases.
The Insurance
Fund is running satisfactorily and it is hoped that as some members benefit, the advantages of the scheme will become apparent to
an increasing number of members.

CONTACT: Autumn 1965
As the Motoring Club
nears the end of its second year in existence with membership rising - and hopes of the Committee for an accident free year for the
Insurance Scheme - the details for the Winter Programme are in hand and will be notified as soon as the final arrangements have been
made.
The Treasure Hunt arranged by Mr Clemons was an unqualified success, everyone finally reaching their destination. Another
Treasure Hunt is being arranged for October, details to be announced shortly.
The discount scheme available to all members is
still working satisfactorily to the benefit of all concerned, giving a saving on items of up to 33.1/3rd %.

Summer 1966
The membership of the club continues to increase and a welcome awaits any car or motor cycle owners on the Staff,
not yet members. The discount scheme available at National Tyre Service is still operating effectively, with oil at cheap rates now
available to members.
It is hoped that Treasure Hunts will be held in August and September or October, details to be announced
later.

CONTACT: Spring 1967
The membership of the Motoring Club continues to increase, and it is hoped
that the facilities offered to members will be improved. At the moment there are three motor accessory firms offering various discounts
in tyres, batteries and spare parts, including, in one case, engines.
It is hoped that the Club will be able to supply, on loan
to members, large scale maps for specific areas for use on holiday. Application will have to be made to the Secretary. Details will
be circularised before the start of the Annual Holidays.
The Insurance Cover Scheme is assisting members when they do not claim
against their own Car Insurance Company for small amounts, thereby saving loss of No-Claim Bonus. The cost is well worth the cover
£1. 5. -d in the first year and, if no claim is made, £1 per annum thereafter, where the No-Claim Bonus applies.

benefits available to members can be obtained from any member of the Motoring Club Committee.
