Temple Row Branch
Shortly after the Birmingham Municipal Bank converted its status to that of a Trustee Savings Bank, efforts
were commenced to find more suitable premises for the Bank's City branch, then located in Martineau Square.
With the decline of business
at the Broad Street Head Office following the construction of Birmingham's Queensway road system, the growth of business at Martineau
Square made it desirable that a larger office be acquired. In due course, City branch was relocated to 43 Temple Row. The images on
this page were taken at the opening of the new premises on February 10th 1981.
