While Mrs Christine Sharp nurses her triplets, born at Lordswood Maternity Hospital on September 11th 1957, her two-year-old daughter, Jennifer, holds three Birmingham Municipal Bank passbooks, each of which contains a deposit of £5.

The £15 deposited in these three new accounts was a gift from the Selly Oak Hospital Management Committee, and was presented to Mrs Sharp by Alderman A F Bradbeer(left).
