Phelps left the Bank's employment on September 19th 1947, after 18 years service, to take up the position of Accountant at the
Women's Hospital.

These two photographs seem to have been taken at the same event as the 'Gathering' above, although they were simply captioned
'Staff Tea Party'.
The Honours Board in the background was mainly used to list the names of female staff who had passed Part
I of the examinations of
the Institute of Bankers. The Board was removed in 1951 - see Image 069
